TEACHERS WANTED FOR SEPTEMBER 2019

Experienced Filipino language tutors who enjoy working with motivated children and adults.

Responsibilities:

To teach small groups of 10-15 people for two-hour sessions for children age 7+ and adults age 15+

To teach general language skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as for specific contexts (eg travel, etc.)

Record student progress and conduct assessments

Interact positively with children to promote a fun, friendly and creative learning environment

Educate them on cultural norms and practices for the country of their parents.

You will need:

Excellent command of the Filipino language, including reading, writing, conversation and cultural understanding

Filipino or English language qualification, preferable but not necessary.

A strong ability to motivate students and communicate teaching content creatively and effectively

Reliability, professional personal presentation and the ability to lead classes and work unsupervised

Ability to work a maximum of 3 hours session per week for the children’s class every Saturday from 11.30 to 4.30 pm in Gloucester.

A 2 hours per week session every Sunday from 2.30 to 4.30 pm.

Prior teaching experience is desirable
